Threat/Risk Analysis, Assessment and Recommendations

Our objective is to protect your guests, staff and assets against unforeseen threats.  As a result of our critical issues review process, we will recommend unobtrusive, cost-effective security policies, practices and procedures.

Venue Survey
Every business and organization has a unique exposure to risk.  This exposure can be quantified as you move from your closed and controlled corporate environment to an open and public space.

Several weeks before your scheduled event, an ESS senior security specialist will conduct a comprehensive review of your chosen venue. An ESS venue report is provided to minimize exposure and eliminate any last-minute surprises. You will gain the knowledge of how you will operate throughout the day-to-day unfolding of your event.

You will learn how the venue is currently prepared to protect your physical security through the review of:

• Hotel security plan
• Crime conditions in and around the venue using sophisticated computer modeling techniques to forecast potential crimes
• Medical emergency response capabilities
• Police/law enforcement response
• Protection of proprietary information through procedures and safeguards
• Emergency planning coordination plans, to include:
  • Fire procedures/evacuation plans
  • Power outages
  • Civil disturbances
  • Bomb threats
  • Natural disasters
  • Hazardous material incidents

Identification Procedures
Access control is one of your most important decisions.  The venue survey report will provide the background to answer questions about who should be given access to your event.   You will be advised about the appropriate timing for pre-event credentialing and screening to include hotel staff, caterers, event producers, staff and equipment, attendees, special guests and other identified contributors.

Effective access control will dissuade the party crasher and protect against thieves and other criminals who will be discouraged by your vigilance. Protecting attendees from criminals and theft of personal property is always a critical issue.

On-Site Consulting
Your ESS security professional(s) will act quietly and efficiently throughout the event to reinforce the confidence that you are providing a safe and secure environment.  Our team of experts has more than 75 years consulting experience in all areas of special events hosted or sponsored by corporate clients.

Crisis Management
The ESS Venue Survey Report is our blueprint for success. We will determine crime statistics and forecasts, key contacts for law enforcement, medical response, fire protection and access control procedures upon which to make contingency plans in case of unpredictable events. Our goal is to plan for the unlikely or the improbable, to severely limit potential liability so that your event will be remembered as a safe, well planned, excellent experience.

Post-Event Review
Once the event is completed, we gather to review and capture what we have all learned from the experience. Our review includes an examination of the planning stages, on-site participation, any incidents and the overall effectiveness of our security assessment, recommendations and plan. Our goal is to determine where we have accomplished client satisfaction and how we can apply lessons learned to future opportunities.
